Wild Northern Way menus are curated by Chef Jody Peck. Jody is a wild food lover who is passionate about sourcing local produce and sharing the abundance of the natural landscape in every meal she prepares. Jody grew up in the wilds of Northern BC where she was immersed in all aspects of wild food – harvesting, processing, cooking, preserving and sharing meals. Wild game, fire cooking, and mountain huckleberries shaped her understanding of food, land, connection and community.

Jody landed in Vancouver amidst the wild food revival, bringing her knowledge and passion for wild, local and seasonal cuisine to a city of diners hungry for a sense connection to the origin of their meals. Jody’s lifelong connection to hunting, foraging and preparing wild food quickly led her to collaborating with some of Vancouver’s finest chefs. You’ll find Jody & Wild Northern Way curating wild to table dining experiences at Copper Spirit Distillery on Bowen Island, hosting private long table dinners (or private outdoor short table dinners for your bubble while COVID restrictions last!); providing specialized catering for retreats, teaching foraging and fire cooking  workshops, and working as a private chef for people who want to experience a true farm to table experience in their own home on a regular basis. Jody currently lives on Bowen Island, unceded territory of the Squamish Nation, where she works with the flavours of the Pacific Northwest to create seasonal and local wild food experiences, continually learning and gathering inspiration from what the land has to offer.
